I had to hit 5 CVS today to find one item for Susan's Christmas, but here's the haul. I started with $26.79 on gift cards, and $10 in ECBs.
I got:
Six 8-packs of Batteries (full price $48!)
Two gift boxes of chocolates ($16)
Three Dove Candy Bars ($2.07)
An 8 pk of Fusion Power Razors ($26!!)
Susan's present ($20!!)
I paid $21.80 off my gift cards, and $8 in ECBs. Since my gift cards were free... I paid $0 for over $100 in merchandise. And Dad, if you're reading, it was about 1 gallon of gas in my running around, so maybe $3 in gas? Still worth it!!!
but I just can stand it!!
Had to fill a prescription Friday....
Rx - $10
Excedrin 100 ct Migraine - $10.49
Excedrin 100 ct Extra Strength - $9.99
$5 off $15 coupon
$3 off Excedrin 100 ct
$3 off Excedrin 100 ct
$2 in ECBs
Coupon for a free $25 giftcard with new Rx
I put $18.39 on a gift card I got for free previously... meaning they paid me $6.61 to buy this stuff AND gave me $10 in ECBs for buying the Excedrin. WooHOO!!
Oh my lord, I feel like I'm stealing but it's legal!!! I just picked up my fourth $25 gift card from CVS this week for filling a new prescription. They have photo books you can make on sale for $12.99... and you get $3 in ECBs. I've done two so far and paid $4.99 for them. I can do this five times. Christmas presents here I come! I got a $20 Rite Aid gift card for transferring a prescription there... Thank you Kim for reminding me that there are deals out there. I haven't had this much fun in a while!!!
It's the weekend!!! Yippee! Yesterday was a long but good day. I filled another CVS prescription and got a 2nd CVS $25 giftcard. Then Charles and I went out last night and essentially finished our Santa shopping. We spent $77 at Toys R Us (GAK!) but I think we're done. And I kept the total on each kid within $3 of each other.
We then hit CVS, got $54.08 worth of merchandise for $0 out of pocket!! (I used about $36 off my two gift cards, but since I didn't pay for those...) I am stocked on good nites until at least February, on batteries & tissues for quite a while, and added a few more stocking stuffers etc for the kids, plus a couple of cleaning supplies.
My team at work had their annual white elephant gift exchange. I had the Chia Pet Shrek stolen from me, but ended up with a huge pair of bear slippers. When I walk up to Morgan with these on he runs in terror!!!
I'm at a plateau on my weight loss. Next step is a "coach approach" appointment today at 9:30 am at the gym. It's not quite a personal training session, but sort of. I've struggled for six months getting to the gym regularly, so this is step #1 in trying to tackle that. Charles and I are hoping to get to see "I Am Legend" at the first matinee this afternoon. He's been dying to see that movie, and with his mother here we don't have to pay for a sitter. I tackled cleaning Connor's room Thursday evening. We made huge progress, and even managed to get some new-to-him furniture installed in his room. Today we have to sort through his toys and purge what we don't have room for in preparation for Santa Claus.
OK, I think I'm getting the hang of this... $24.05 for $0.35 out of pocket!! I spent $10 in ECBs, got $12 in ECBs back, and have a deodorant, a power razor, two bags of cough drops, and an facial scrub. Better yet, I think I can turn over my ECBs one more time this week for more free stuff.
WooHOO. I did much better than I thought I would since I didn't plan on shopping much at all!
Black Friday -- I hit Michael's before 9am with my 25% off your order coupon. Spent $11 on me, including Christmas lights. Spent $26 on the kids for stocking stuffers. They had a whole aisle of $1 items that I paid 75 cents each for, plus a $7.99 art kit I paid $3.74 each for. That really put me in the holiday mood. I always struggle with my budget and what i'd like to get the kids for Christmas, so getting some neat small stuff has brightened my week.
CVS.... thanks to ECBs, coupons, and a fabulous sale, I got $56.14 worth of stuff for $16.25!! I thought I was going to make another run today, but they were out of the item(s). Ah well, you snooze, you lose.
On to Office Depot... used some hoarded coupons to get a ream of inkjet paper for $0.52!!
Last stop Food Lion.... $60.84 worth of groceries for $19.52! That won't happen very often but it sure was a great day. Plus I have $3.00 off my next order!
Not a bad way to spend my birthday weekend... I turned 43 today. I'm wearing my new Pandora bracelet, a gift from my family, and I have some $$ to spend when I go to my 3D Christmas workshop on Monday night. Charles took me out to dinner Friday night since we had free babysitting, after i worked on my Christmas cards all day with my SIL. I'm not quite done, but they are all made, and simply need signing and addressing.
Drama Mama will be sooo proud! She hooked me up with this website, and I did my first killer deal today. I marched out this morning, and got my Sunday newspaper ($1.25), then sat in my car with my coupons and studied the ads. I then went into CVS, and got four light bulbs, a box of Tylenol, a bottle of CVS body wash, two bags of Dove Chocolates, a bag of wint-o-green lifesavers, a box of Goody's headache powders, and headed to the counter. After coupons on my $25.73 of merchandise, I paid $1.49!! You read that right!! And on top of that, I got $4.59 in extra care bucks to spend on a future visit! So they paid me $3.10 to shop today!! Not bad for a beginner?!
For those who want the fine print, I had a $4 off a $20 purchase CVS coupon, a $5 off any tylenol product, and $11.50 in extra care bucks, as well as ads in the CVS circular.
